Some jobs require a minimum restring to guarantee the work. Generally speaking, there is a minimum $60 charge for all checked-in instruments, which covers diagnostics and any minor fixes needed. Work listed $50 or less can be preformed while you wait, during your ~30 minute appointment time (i.e., most restrings and output jack replacements). Additional work preformed during restring or setup work will be given a discount, around $10 – 60. Rush jobs can be turned around in 24 hours for a 50% upcharge. Pricing is for labor only and reflects a $90/hour service charge. Strings and other required parts are not included in the above pricing. Examples: Strings ~$6-20, Bone nut or saddle material ~$10-20, Fret wire ~$20 for standard, $45 for EVO gold or $35 for stainless.
Hide Glue Note – I am fully experienced and equipped to do any of the above repairs with all-natural hide glue. I strongly recommend this for all instruments originally constructed with hide glue and for customers who want a superior wood joint.
